Payment and Contracts
To secure your training sessions, a non-refundable deposit of $150 will be required. This deposit will be applied towards the total payment for your training. The remaining amount is due prior to your first scheduled session. Please note that once sessions have commenced, prorated refunds will not be issued.
Contracts will be sent to your provided email via DropboxSign and must be signed before the start of your first scheduled session. Failure to sign the contracts may result in the cancellation of your sessions, as the terms and conditions must be agreed upon prior to starting. In the event of cancellation due to refusal to sign the contracts, refunds will not be given.
Scheduling and Cancelation Policy In-Home Sessions
All training sessions will be tailored to accommodate your availability. Prior to booking sessions, you will have the opportunity to approve all dates and times. Once sessions are booked, reminders will be sent out via text and email each week.
As sessions are typically scheduled months in advance, rescheduling can be challenging. While efforts will be made to keep sessions consecutive, rescheduled sessions will be accommodated based on the earliest availability and may result in a delay in between sessions or require the owner to meet to a mutual location based on your dog’s needs.
For all cancellations, regardless of when notice is given, a $55 (per session needing to be rescheduled) rescheduling fee will apply. If more than two cancellations occur (2+), the canceled sessions will no longer be eligible for rescheduling. Refunds for private sessions will not be provided after sessions have commenced.
If booking less one or two session(s), full payment is required to reserve your sessions. If you need to reschedule within 72 hours of the session, a $55 rescheduling fee will apply. If more than 1 rescheduling occurs the canceled sessions will no longer be eligible for rescheduling.
In the event of illness, you have the following options
- Rescheduled session subject to the $55 rescheduling fee
- The session can be turned into a virtual session and held at its scheduled time
- Canceled session
If notice of illness or the need to reschedule is provided less than 90 min before the session start time, the session will be canceled and will not be rescheduled. Refunds for the session will not be given.
Rescheduled sessions must be scheduled within 60 days.
Rescheduling or Delayed Scheduling of Sessions
Rescheduled (in-home) sessions need to be rescheduled within 60 days. Delayed scheduling of sessions needs to be scheduled within 6 months. If sessions are not scheduled within the designated time, sessions are no longer eligible for rescheduling.
Scheduling and Cancelation Policy Virtual Sessions
Virtual Coaching Sessions via Zoom are priced at $95 for a 45-minute call. This amount must be paid in full to book your virtual session and is non-refundable. Rescheduling within 72 hours of a session will be subject to a $40 rescheduling fee. If additional cancellations occur (2), all cancellations will be subject to a $40 rescheduling fee, regardless of when notice is given. If sessions are being rescheduled, rescheduled sessions much be scheduled within 90 days. If more than three cancellations occur, the canceled sessions will no longer be eligible for rescheduling. Refunds for cancellations or no-shows (by the client) will not be provided.
Scheduling and Cancelation Policy For Group Programs
Group programs will be in-person programs held at the discussed location for the sessions. A non-refundable deposit of $150 will be required to reserve your spot in the program. This deposit will be applied to the agreed-upon payment for your training. The remaining amount is due a month before the first session. Cancelations within seven days to start the program will not be refunded. Partial payment will not be given if classes are missed.
Proper Paws reserves the right to exclude dogs that exhibit severe reactivity or aggressive behaviors from participating in the group programs. This decision is made in the best interest of both the reactive dog and the other dogs in the program. If a dog is asked to no longer participate in the program, money will not be refunded but instead applied to other training options (virtual coaching or in-home, depending on owner’s home location) that will be provided. If the owner chooses not to accept the provided alternative options, payment for the program will not be refunded.
Scheduling and Cancelation Policy Board and Train
Board and Train programs will be held at Proper Paws’ residence for the duration of the dog’s stay. A non-refundable deposit of $400 will be required to reserve your spot in the program. This deposit will be applied to the agreed-upon payment for your training. The remaining amount is due 2 weeks before drop off. Partial payment will not be given if days are missed.
